Opening your Hamstrings and firing your Glutes with Uttanasana

The ability to be able to touch one’s toes without bending the knees is a coveted dream of many. It is a task in itself and would call for rigorous, systematic and consistent practice on the part of the practitioner. The good news – practicing it in the way explained above is bound to prepare the road to the completion of the journey, in the right manner. Please note that as much as the posture may look perfect in the video, I am receiving only 20-30% benefits of the posture. My body has got used to this practice and I get into the posture without any extra effort. On the other hand, you, by performing even 30-40 % of Uttanasana, would perhaps, receive as much as 80-90% of its benefits as your body is not used to this and has to make immense effort to even trying to move into the posture due to the resisting rigidity of these areas. So, practice this to feel and touch the presence of even the deepest tissues of your hamstrings, calves and glutes to improve the health of your back, knee, plantar fascia, heel spur, hormonal imbalance, diabetes etc. Checkout my Yoga Videos on YouTube (Shammi's Yogalaya)
