The Simplest Solution to your Knee Pain

Being a yoga therapist has brought about realization regarding knee pain. This issue takes the longest to be repaired but solution is extremely simple. The video embedded shows how one can start the recovery journey, even when dealing with chronic knee pain, in the simplest of manner. Standing or sitting for too long, wearing high heels, tight cloth, obesity, lack of physical activities etc. leads to sluggish blood flow, stress and eventually degeneration of the knee. Solution – leg elevation Choose an edge of a wall at home (where two walls meet to form a right angle). Lie down, the leg with the injured knee should be closer to the wall. Slowly raise the said leg, with a stretch and rest the entire leg and that hip vertically on the wall. The other leg remains straight on the floor. Relax in this position for 10-15 minutes, at least once or twice a day. This elevation results in displacing the sluggish blood flow with increased flow of enriched oxygenated blood to your entire leg. Stretching and flexing your toes and holding each stretch and flex for 10 count further accelerates the healing process. In case you find it difficult to lie down on the floor, perform this posture lying down on the bed with both your legs resting either on the headboard or on the wall. This wall support posture is also recommended for varicose veins, spider veins, heel spur, plantar fascia, Achilles tendon and swelling of the leg as well as feet.
