
About the Program
This is a first-of-its-kind 75-hour course to handle Prenatal and Postnatal women’s health, with certification provided by Shammi’s Yogalaya. The program offers a detailed understanding of pregnancy from a medical, yogic traditional perspective in terms of food, prana, asanas, and much more. The program dives deep into the correct and efficient ways of handling complications during pregnancy and labor, and health after labour.

Program Overview
The course approaches pregnancy and childbirth from an intensive theoretical as well as practical perspective. Further, theoretical study is categorized into three parts: gynecological education, yogic education, and nutrition.

The medical aspects of the theory will be covered by expert gynecologist and obstetrician Dr. Sudeshna Ray, from Jaslok and Breach Candy hospital.
​
The program will also include instruction from nutritionist Rajashree Dave and lactation specialist Dr. Manisha Gogri.
​
Shammi Gupta, who has been expertly handling pregnancy cases for the past 10 years, will introduce students of the course to the yogic world of Garbha Sanskar.
​
The practical aspects of the course work extensively on flexibility, releasing cramps, having a normal (non-surgical) delivery, and postnatal care.

This program requires all participants to have completed a minimum 100 hours of a yoga Teacher’s Training Course as a prerequisite for enrolment.

The third edition of the Prenatal and Postnatal TTC will commence on April 22nd, 2023.
